Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) is Vaughan’s new downtown at Highway 7 and Jane Street, built around the Line 1 subway terminus. SmartCentres’ SmartVMC, Cortel’s Expo City and Menkes and QuadReal’s Festival and Mobilio communities are turning former industrial land into a high-rise district.
This is a GTA area just north of Toronto, in York Region. Compare commute, parking and fees carefully, and confirm details for any specific unit.

Get to know the area
The VMC grew around the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station, which opened in 2017 as the northern end of Line 1. Next to it are a regional bus terminal, the PwC-YMCA building with a YMCA and library, and the KPMG office tower, with a large new park running through the SmartVMC community.
Condos here are almost all recent: Cortel’s Expo City towers from the mid-2010s, CentreCourt and SmartCentres’ five Transit City towers completed between 2020 and about 2023, and Menkes and QuadReal’s Mobilio and four-tower Festival community, with more towers planned.

York University’s Keele campus is a few stops south on Line 1.
The PwC-YMCA building beside the subway station includes a YMCA and a Vaughan Public Libraries branch.
